for families | New parents + caregivers

We invite pregnant mothers, new or expecting parents, and caregivers to experience the profound beauty of writing a personal lullaby for their baby. Our musicians collaborate with participants throughout this process, with compassion, cultural humility, and songwriting expertise. We meet for 3-4 Sessions over 4-6 weeks for Writing, Recording, and Sharing Sessions.

One Community Partner, Wayfinder Schools’ Passages Program, serves students in nine Maine counties…who are facing challenges that keep them from attending traditional high school. About SORCHA

Sorcha served as Songwriter-Facilitator and Vocalist for various Lullaby Projects since 2017, partnering with Carnegie Hall and Maine nonprofits: Bay Chamber Concerts, Wayfinder Schools’ Passages Program, and 317 Main Community Music Center. She co-led 317 Main’s new Partnership launch, and recruited and trained their Teaching Artist team.

Sorcha was recommended to us, and it was clear from the beginning that the idea of the transformative power of music really resonated with her. She can draw [the mothers] out of their shell, make them feel comfortable, which is as important as having the musical skill.
