interactive concerts
for older adults | memory care
Throughout Maine, Sorcha shares interactive performances with Independent Living, Assisted living, and Memory Care audiences. She sings jazz standards, country blues classics, and popular folk and soul songs for residents and staff. She encourages participation — singing, clapping, call and response, dancing, and seated movement. Sorcha also offers Songwriting Workshops to support creative expression, memory and brain health, and interpersonal connections. She has partnered with Maine Senior Care centers for over a decade and completed the Community Health Musician Certificate Program through Berklee School of Music | Music and Health Institute (Boston, MA) to deepen and expand this work. We encourage Activity Directors and Life Enrichment Staff to get in touch.
The LULLABY PROJECT
carnegie hall songwriting partnership
for new parents | caregivers
“The Lullaby Project, a project of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, pairs new and expecting parents and caregivers with professional artists to write and sing personal lullabies for their babies, supporting maternal health, aiding childhood development, and strengthening the bond between parent and child.” — Carnegie Hall Lullaby Project. Sorcha has participated in several of these collaborative songwriting projects with New Parents as a Songwriter-Facilitator. She has further adapted this framework for Individuals, Older Adults, and for Health Care Teams.
